HOW TO PLAY

MEANWHILE… Doctor Doom has seized Luminate Comics and locked the owner in a glowing Doom-Cage. You are the owner. Take back your shop!

YOUR MISSION

  1. Break out of the Doom-Cage. Mash E (or tap BREAK) until the bars shatter.
  2. Destroy all 5 Doom Beacons. They're the glowing green orbs on Doom banners around the store — by the back-issue bins, the new-comics wall, the bookcases, the kids' area and the collectibles wall. Shoot each one until it explodes. The green diamonds on your screen point to the beacons that are left.
  3. Defeat Doctor Doom. When the last beacon falls, the force-field to the Live Stream studio in the back drops. Doom is waiting at the stream desk. Bring his health bar to zero to save the shop and get the stream back online!
  4. Claim Doom's treasure. When Doom falls he drops a treasure chest. Walk up to it and press E (or tap OPEN) to reveal a reward code that unlocks a surprise gift on your first order at luminatecomics.com.

CONTROLS

Plays like a hero shooter (Marvel Rivals style) with Call of Duty-style gunplay: over-the-shoulder camera, hold right click to aim down sights, abilities on cooldowns plus an ultimate.

Left ClickLuminate Bolts: hold for rapid fire (30-round clip, headshots do double damage). Hip-fire spreads more while moving, jumping or holding the trigger; fire in short bursts and aim down sights for accuracy
G / Middle ClickHeavy Blast: big explosive shot (5s cooldown)
ShiftLuminate Dash: quick dodge you can't be hit during (6s cooldown)
EBolt Shield: blocks 200 damage for 3s (12s cooldown). Also breaks the cage.
QUltimate: Luminate Burst, when the ring hits 100%
SpaceJump. Press again in the air to double jump

Click the game once to lock the mouse. Press Esc to get your cursor back. Mouse sensitivity, ADS sensitivity and invert-Y are in the pause menu.

THE HUD

  • HEALTH (bottom-left): your hit points out of 250. Doombot bolts (orange) and Doom's blasts (green) hurt. The blue part of the bar is your shield.
  • ULTIMATE RING (bottom-centre): fills as you deal damage. At 100% press Q to blast everything near you.
  • ABILITIES (bottom-right): dark overlays and numbers show cooldowns. Your ammo count sits next to the crosshair.
  • DOOM CONTROL (top): climbs while beacons stand. If it hits 100% the shop is lost! Every beacon you destroy knocks it down.
  • RARE COMICS: glowing graded comic slabs around the shop heal you. They respawn.
  • HIT MARKERS: a white X is a hit, yellow is a headshot, red is a takedown.

TIPS

  • Use the shelves and bookcases as cover — Doombot bolts can't go through them.
  • Aim for the head! Headshots on Doombots and Doom deal double damage.
  • Dash through incoming fire, since you can't be hit mid-dash. Pop your Shield before Doom's 3-way blast.
  • Don't stand still — Doom fires a three-way spread and teleports around the shop.
  • Save your Ultimate for a Doombot swarm or for big damage on Doom.
  • Check out the stream desk in the back — the clock shows your real time.
